THE REAL REASON THAT LEADERSHIP IS SO DIFFICULT SO MUCH OF THE TIME...

Organizational leadership is tough with pressure to perform, shrinking budgets, challenging working conditions, constant change and uncertainty, and often dealing with unmotivated, disengaged and/or difficult employees.

The real reason organizational leadership is so much harder that it needs to be may surprise you!

Mosts senior managers and executives are deeply confused about leadership psychology. Its not their fault. The maps and models that leaders have been been given by well-meaning, but ill-informed advice givers, are just flat wrong. They create confusion and overwhelm and often make the problems worse.

What you need is an accurate map of organizational leadership and clarity about exactly what successful leaders do and precisely how to do it. Then you can easily identify the precise methods and tools you need (including knowing which approach to use with which followers) to get the job done.

Once you understand how organizational leadership, and leadership psychology actually works, then you can absolutely crush your goals in your role with successful projects, a high performing, engaged and motivated team, and your boss giving you the recognition you deserve, putting you in the best position possible for that upcoming promotion.

RAPID LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

It is now completely possible to eliminate these kinds of problems and frustrations and skyrocket your leadership performance and your organizational results in only a few months.

Plus our highly flexible “hybrid” format allows you to customize your learning experience by time frame, self-paced, live instructor led, group coaching or one-on-one coaching experience.

ASSESS INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM NEEDS

To skyrocket your leadership performance, you only need to conduct a straightforward gap analysis and then apply Pareto's law (also known as the 80/20 rule). Our benchmarking system makes it quick and easy to assess your team / organization's needs and your leadership gifts and gaps.

IDENTIFY HIGHEST LEVERAGE ACTIVITIES

Next, we will zero in on the two to three highest-leverage leadership activities, tactics and tools that will have an outsized impact on your individual leadership performance and your team and organizational results over the next few months.

DEPLOY NEW TACTICS AND TOOLS

Our best-in-class leadership training-on-demand, templates, tools, tutorials and combined with live instruction and individualized leadership coaching equips you to rapidly deploy solutions to close performance gaps and elevate (individual and team) performance in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost of conventional methods.

UNIVERSAL LEADERSHIP MODEL

The Universal Leadership Model combined with our Accelerating Leadership coaching and training systems represents the most advanced leadership-related intellectual property that exists. It is a direct result of more than 10,000 man hours over 23 years and over a million dollars in direct research and development costs! This is the first time this cutting-edge system has been made available to the general public. Until now, the only way you could gain access to it was to pay $36,000 per person to go through our elite (hard to get into) 12-month Integral Leadership Program that was exclusively available only for C-Suite Executives in $100 million to billion dollar enterprises (and getting in required an invite from a graduate and you have to pass a battery of psychological tests to be accepted). Finally, we are making this 5th generation version available to the public, all online, and very affordable.

UNIVERSAL LEADERSHIP MODEL

Now you can gain access to the world’s most advanced leadership development method that can help you rapidly elevate your leadership and organizational performance. This might be the last leadership training and coaching program you ever need. If not the last, easily the most valuable, because once you learn this Integral Leadership Framework and obtain these cutting-edge tools, every single other aspect of the art and science of leadership will be ten times easier to address.

The Planning dimension is where leadership begins. Without clear direction, organizations flounder, teams disengage, and execution becomes chaotic. Planning is not simply about setting goals—it involves making sense of complex environments, analyzing challenges and opportunities, and crafting a vision that aligns stakeholders and mobilizes action. Strong leaders prioritize strategically, making high-leverage decisions that shape the future while ensuring adaptability in an ever-changing business landscape. Effective planning is rooted in shared sensemaking, stakeholder alignment, and strategic steering, ensuring that every action serves a larger, well-defined purpose.

To take your strategic Thinking, Planning and Decision Making to the next level, you will need to upgrade the tools and skills that you use to analyze organizational needs, establish the compelling vision, align stakeholders for maximum buy-in and commitment, and craft successful, evolving strategic plans. Leaders who excel in this area draw upon three skill sets and tool kits, we refer to as Sensemaking, Strategic Alignment and Organizational Steering. We have all the tools you need and can help you deploy them with your team (organization) quickly and easily.

SENSEMAKING MODULE

Understanding Complex Situations and Finding the Right Path Forward

Great leaders don’t just react to problems—they uncover the truth behind them. Sensemaking is the ability to analyze complex situations, identify key drivers, and connect the dots between different challenges. Senior managers who master this skill don’t rely on assumptions or surface-level information. Instead, they ask the right questions, gather insights from multiple sources, and look at patterns over time to see what’s really going on. They take a step back to make sense of shifting market trends, team dynamics, and operational inefficiencies, helping them make informed, strategic decisions. Without strong sensemaking skills, leaders risk making decisions based on incomplete information, leading to wasted resources and misaligned priorities. A leader with high proficiency in Sensemaking does not simply ask, “What happened?” They ask, “Why did this happen? What does it mean? How does it connect to other challenges?” They take time to listen, analyze data, and engage with different perspectives before making a call. The impact of Sensemaking is profound: it allows leaders to anticipate problems before they escalate, find smarter solutions, and create clarity amid uncertainty. Organizations thrive when their leaders can make sense of challenges, align teams around the right solutions, and navigate change with confidence.

STAKEHOLDER ALIGNMENT MODULE

Ensuring Employees Align around Values, Vision and Purpose and Work Toward the Same Goals

Leadership isn’t just about setting goals—it’s about making sure the right people, processes, and resources are aligned to achieve them. Strategic alignment is the ability to translate high-level business objectives into clear, actionable priorities that teams can execute. Without it, departments work in silos, teams chase conflicting objectives, and organizations waste time on low-impact activities. Senior managers skilled in strategic alignment ensure that everyone understands not just what needs to be done, but why it matters. A leader who excels in strategic alignment creates clarity across teams, ensuring that different functions—like sales, operations, and customer service—aren’t pulling in opposite directions. They connect daily work to the bigger picture, reinforcing company priorities through ongoing communication. If the company’s goal is to improve customer retention, a leader focused on strategic alignment ensures that every department contributes—marketing refines messaging, product teams enhance features, and customer service improves response times. Strategic alignment isn’t just about setting direction; it’s about constantly reinforcing it, adjusting priorities when needed, and ensuring that all efforts lead to measurable business results. Leaders who lack this skill may set ambitious goals, but their teams will struggle to deliver meaningful progress. By mastering strategic alignment, senior managers create focus, eliminate wasted effort, and build momentum that drives long-term success.

ORGANIZATIONAL STEERING MODULE

Dynamic Priorities and Effective Strategic Thinking and Planning

In today’s fast-moving business world, rigid plans quickly become outdated. Organizational steering is the ability to monitor progress, assess changing conditions, and make real-time adjustments to keep teams and projects aligned. Senior managers who excel at this skill don’t just set a plan and hope it works—they continuously refine strategies based on feedback, new information, and shifting priorities. They ensure that goals remain relevant, teams stay agile, and the organization remains focused on what matters most. A strong leader understands that no plan survives first contact with reality. While some leaders stick stubbornly to outdated strategies, those skilled in organizational steering recognize when it’s time to pivot. They hold regular check-ins to assess progress, seek input from key stakeholders, and use data-driven insights to determine whether to double down on a strategy or shift course. Without effective organizational steering, companies risk wasting time on initiatives that are no longer relevant, failing to capitalize on emerging opportunities, or struggling to adapt to crises. Leaders who master this skill build resilience into their teams, ensuring that they can stay focused yet flexible in the face of uncertainty. They create a culture where progress is regularly measured, feedback is welcomed, and teams can confidently course-correct when needed. The best leaders don’t just set the course—they continuously adjust the sails to ensure they reach their destination.

The Teaming dimension is the human element of leadership. Even the best-laid plans fail without a cohesive, motivated team to execute them. Leadership in this dimension requires the ability to create an empowering culture, foster trust, and facilitate communication that fuels engagement and performance. High-performing teams are built through intentional structure, clearly defined expectations, and emotional intelligence. Leaders must cultivate a workplace where feedback is constructive, collaboration is seamless, and conflict is resolved productively. The ability to motivate diverse teams, enhance morale, and create an environment where individuals can thrive is a hallmark of leaders who excel in this dimension.

To take your Teamwork, Communication and Culture to the next level, you will need to upgrade the tools and skills that you use to set people up for success and develop teams over time, communicate with your teams effectively and keep members engaged and motivated. Leaders who excel in this area draw upon three skill sets and tool kits, we refer to as Creating the Container, Conscious Communication and Meaningful Motivation. We have all the tools you need and can help you deploy them with your team (organization) quickly and easily.

Creating the Container

Setting People Up for Success with the Structure, Culture and Environment They Need

Great teams don’t happen by accident—they are intentionally built. Creating the container is the ability to establish the cultural and structural foundation that allows teams to work together effectively. Without trust, clarity, and shared expectations, teams struggle with miscommunication, disengagement, and inefficiency. Senior managers who master this skill ensure that their teams feel safe to contribute, understand their roles, and collaborate seamlessly toward shared goals. A leader skilled in creating the container focuses on three key areas: defining clear roles and responsibilities, fostering trust, and establishing a culture of collaboration. They don’t assume that people will naturally work well together; instead, they set clear expectations from the start, helping team members understand how they fit into the bigger picture. They also model transparency and fairness, ensuring that employees feel valued and respected. When conflicts arise, they address them early before they damage relationships or productivity. Without a strong container, even talented employees will struggle. A lack of clear expectations leads to frustration, and an absence of trust makes collaboration difficult. Leaders who create a well-structured, supportive environment

set their teams up for long-term success, allowing them to focus on delivering results rather than navigating workplace uncertainty.

Communication

Effective Leadership Communication Involving Listening, Dialogue, Collaboration and Conflict Management

Poor communication leads to inefficiency, confusion, and frustration. But when leaders prioritize clear and open communication, they build alignment, strengthen relationships, and ensure that their teams work together efficiently. Communication is the glue that holds teams together. It is more than just talking—it’s about ensuring that people understand, align, and support each other in achieving shared goals. Senior managers who excel at communication clarify expectations, prevent misunderstandings, and create an open culture where employees feel heard and valued. Without strong communication, teams become disconnected, conflicts go unresolved, and productivity suffers. A leader skilled in communication knows how to deliver messages clearly, listen actively, and navigate difficult conversations with professionalism. They don’t just assume people know what’s expected—they take the time to articulate why something matters and ensure alignment across teams. They repeat key messages to reinforce priorities, check for understanding, and encourage feedback. They also foster an environment where employees feel comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and raising concerns.

Motivation

Keeping Team Members Engaged and Energized with Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation

Without motivation, employees disengage, performance suffers, and turnover increases. But leaders who actively motivate their teams build loyalty, improve morale, and drive sustained performance. Motivation is what keeps employees engaged, productive, and excited about their work. But true motivation goes beyond bonuses and paychecks—it’s about creating an environment where people feel valued, challenged, and connected to a greater purpose. Senior managers who master motivation understand what drives their employees and know how to align individual passions with organizational goals. A leader skilled in motivation recognizes and rewards contributions, connects employees’ work to a larger mission, and ensures people have opportunities to grow. They understand that different people are motivated in different ways—some thrive on recognition, while others are driven by personal development, autonomy, or team success. Instead of treating motivation as a one-size-fits-all approach, they tailor their strategies to fit the needs of their teams.

The Executing dimension is where planning and teamwork translate into tangible results. Execution is more than just getting things done—it is about delivering high-quality outcomes efficiently, with discipline and accountability. Leaders in this dimension excel at setting clear roles, defining performance expectations, managing projects effectively, and optimizing productivity. They ensure that people, priorities, and processes align so that teams stay focused and organizations consistently meet objectives. Execution also requires agility—leaders must balance structure with adaptability, continuously refining systems and addressing performance gaps to maintain momentum in a rapidly evolving world.

To take your Execution, Accountability and Performance to the next level, you will need to upgrade the tools and skills that you use to identify and close employee performance gaps, achieve high accountability and productivity on your team, and consistently deliver successful projects on time and on budget. Leaders who excel in this area draw upon three skill sets and tool kits, we refer to as Creating the Container, Conscious Communication, and Meaningful Motivation. We have all the tools you need and can help you deploy them with your team (organization) quickly and easily.

Performance Management

Setting Expectations, Identifying and Closing Performance Gaps and Holding People Accountable

Without strong performance management, high performers get frustrated by underperforming colleagues, and accountability fades. But when leaders actively manage performance, they build stronger teams, drive better results, and help employees reach their full potential Performance management isn’t about micromanaging—it’s about setting clear expectations and ensuring employees meet them. Senior managers who excel in this skill create a culture of accountability, where employees know what’s expected and receive the support they need to improve. When performance issues arise, they address them early instead of letting small problems grow into major setbacks. Effective performance management starts with clear goals and consistent feedback. A strong leader ensures that employees know exactly what success looks like in their role. They don’t just wait for yearly performance reviews—they provide ongoing coaching, praise for great work, and constructive guidance when improvements are needed.

Implementation

Ensuring That All Projects Are Planned and Managed to Success

Without strong project implementation, deadlines are missed, resources are wasted, and teams get frustrated. But when leaders organize work efficiently, projects stay on time, teams remain focused, and goals are achieved smoothly. Great ideas and strategies mean nothing if they aren’t executed well. Project implementation is the ability to turn plans into reality by organizing tasks, managing resources, and ensuring that work gets done on time and within scope . Senior managers skilled in this area keep teams focused, remove obstacles, and ensure that projects are completed successfully. Strong leaders break projects into clear, actionable steps, ensuring that every team member understands who is responsible for what and by when. They don’t micromanage, but they

track progress regularly, ensuring that teams stay on course. They anticipate problems before they arise and provide

quick solutions to keep projects moving forward.

Productivity

Staying Focused and Productive Even in the Face of Changing Priorities and Distractions

Without strong productivity management, teams become overwhelmed, important work gets delayed, and morale suffers. But leaders who help teams focus on what matters most drive results, reduce stress, and create a healthier workplace. Productivity isn’t about working more hours—it’s about working smarter and eliminating inefficiencies. Senior managers who excel at productivity help their teams prioritize high-impact tasks, remove distractions, and improve efficiency without burning people out. A leader skilled in productivity identifies and eliminates unnecessary steps, streamlines workflows, and ensures teams stay focused on the most important work. They introduce better processes, tools, and techniques to help their employees work more efficiently. The result? Higher efficiency, less burnout, and better performance across the organization.

Are You Ready to Reach Your
Full Potential as a Leader?

Results from the World's Most Effective Leadership Training

The Integral Leadership Program has been running concurrently for 25 years. It is easily one of the longest-running and certainly most successful and most respected leadership training and coaching programs in the world. More than 10,000 leaders in 2,000+ companies have benefitted from the Integral Leadership Program (now it its 5th generation). Below is a small sampling of the results leaders have received from the ILP over the last two and a half decades... in their own words.

Proven ROI I Could See and Measure

"The ILP didn’t just teach me leadership concepts—it provided tools I could implement immediately. Using their accountability framework, I turned a chronically underperforming team into one that exceeded targets by 25% within six months. The measurable progress was exactly what I needed to regain confidence in my leadership."

J. Martinez, VP of Sales, Chicago, IL

Disconnection to Collaboration

Brett and his team trained and coached my management team for two years. In the process our revenue doubled and profitability tripled. Employee engagement and culture vastly improved and our company valuation quadrupled! The only reason the engagement ended is we were acquired by a very well-known tech giant. It was a very successful exit.

Howard N., Founder, a high-end design firm that served Fortune 10 companies before being acquired for tens of millions, San Francisco, California

The Perfect Fit for a Busy Schedule

I was hesitant to join the ILP because of my packed schedule, but the flexible learning options made it so easy to fit into my routine. The self-paced modules allowed me to learn on my own time, and the coaching sessions provided practical advice I could apply immediately. It’s the perfect program for busy professionals who want results.

A. Johnson, Marketing Manager, San Diego, CA

Clarity and Confidence I Needed

As a senior project manager, I thought I had to figure everything out on my own, but the ILP changed everything. The program gave me clarity and confidence by breaking leadership into actionable steps. Now, I lead with purpose and feel equipped to handle any challenge my team throws at me.

R. Lee, Senior Project Manager, Atlanta, GA

Finally, Real-World Tools That Work

i’ve tried other leadership programs, but the ILP is in a league of its own. Everything I learned was practical and actionable—no fluff, just real solutions to real challenges. The tools for team alignment and performance tracking were game-changers, and I saw improvements within weeks.

T. Gupta, IT Manager, Austin, TX

Goodbye Overwhelm, Hello Results

I used to feel overwhelmed trying to juggle the demands of leadership. The ILP helped me create systems to manage my priorities, delegate effectively, and keep my team on track. The relief I felt after implementing these tools was priceless, and my team’s engagement scores have never been higher.

D. Thompson, Regional Manager, Dallas, TX

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is this for?

The Integral Leadership Program is for any leader who has a team (people reporting to them). This includes managers in corporations, non-profits and government organizations. It also includes entrepreneurs (who have employees of course, not solo entrepreneurs). This system is perfect for any organizational leader (with a team) who is serious about improving the specific leadership skills that will lead to better organizational outcomes. This includes things like: achieving organizational goals, high-performance teamwork, completing projects successfully on time and on budget, launching new products or services, growing revenue, profits, or increasing employee engagement and productivity.

What exactly is Integral Leadership?

Integral Leadership is a unique system developed over 25 years of training and coaching leaders and teams (across numerous industries and diverse cultures). We offer what many people believe to be the best leadership development methodology, content, coaching and training in the world. This is accomplished by using a best-practice, technique and skills-based approach that has proven to be the most efficient way for people to learn any complex skill, especially the complex ability we call leadership. More than 10,000 leaders in more than 2,000 companies have benefitted from Integral Leadership. The method is documented in the Integral Leadership book series (14+ books) which are all available on Amazon.

How is this different from all the other leadership coaching and training stuff out there?

The Integral Leadership approach is unlike any other leadership coaching or training program on the market. This methodology has proven to have consistent, successful results in every application. This is only possible using the unifying theory of leadership developed in collaboration with Ken Wilber at Integral Institute and the proprietary "Leadership Rosetta Stone" and "Universal Leadership Model" that reliably predicts which leadership approach (or style) will work with which people, teams and circumstance and which ones will be absolutely disastrous (and exactly why). Further, we are the only leadership development organization that provides a legitimate way to "measure leadership" because we are the only ones who have broken organizational leadership down into the three abilities and nine core practices (core competencies) and have provided specific observable, measurable behavioral "benchmarks" for lower, intermediate and higher ranges of proficiency in each skill. No one else has ever done this and you can only get this from us. We have been setting the pace and raising the bar for leadership development for 25 years and still going strong.

Will it work for me?

It works for people who do the work. Learning the technical and complex skill of leadership is no different than learning to play the guitar, learning a martial art, learning baseball or basketball, or learning to fly an airplane. The complex skill is made up of specific abilities (3) and each ability is comprised of discrete skill sets (3). If you are willing to put in the effort to learn the techniques and tools associated with the requisite skills, then this will work for you. If you are the type of person who would rather watch "inspirational" videos from entertainers (who call themselves motivational speakers), but aren't interested in learning and practices the techniques that are requisite for leadership skills then this will not work for you. If you complete the courses available on this website or complete the coaching programs offered here, then you will obtain the skills that all competent leaders possess.

Do you offer more in-depth help?

We have been training, advising, and coaching leaders and executives for 25 years . We offer a variety of ways to obtain the information and tools you need to reach your full leadership potential. For some, reading books is adequate. Others prefer a self-paced course with video lessons, handouts and tools that they can work through on their own schedule. If you want to benefit from in-person mentorship and coaching, we offer two levels of coaching in the form of weekly hands on small group coaching cohorts (on Zoom) as well as one-on-one coaching options for those that want it. See Courses page and Membership page in this website for details, or schedule an "Admissions Consultation" and we can review your specific situation, needs and budget and make expert recommendations.

Do you offer a guarantee?

We only want students and members who are a good fit for this practice-based approach to leadership development. This is not for everyone. We offer a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, just let us know within 30-days and we will provide you with a no-questions-asked refund. If you pay for a 6-month coaching program with a single payment and you decide to leave the program before the six months is up, we will refund you any remaining months. Example if on month four you notify us via email that you are leaving the program, we will refund the two unused months of coaching. (We don't refund for coaching services already used.)
